"War of the Gargantuas" is a classic monster flick from 1966 that pits two big, burly beasts against each other in Tokyo. Gaira and Sanda, who were apparently created from Frankenstein's cells (because why not?), tear through the city, wreaking havoc wherever they go. The movie boasts some pretty impressive special effects, so you can enjoy watching giant humanoids beat the crap out of each other in glorious detail.
One of the most memorable things from the movie is when you can see the string above the helicopter.
If you're into reading too much into things, you might see some symbolism in the movie. Apparently, Sanda is all gentle and caring because he was raised in a controlled environment, while Gaira is violent and aggressive because he grew up in the wild. It's like, deep, man. Plus, you could take it as a cautionary tale about messing with nature and the whole nature versus nurture debate. Or you could just sit back, relax, and enjoy watching giant monsters smash things. Your call.
