If you are like me, you are eagerly waiting for the next season of Stranger Things to drop on Netflix. Dark Horse Books has just announced the release of Stranger Things Library Edition Volume 3, a hardcover collection that includes two stories: The Tomb of Ybwen and Holiday Specials.
The Tomb of Ybwen is set in January 1985, after the events of season 2. Will and Joyce are still grieving over Bob's death (RIP Bob), but Will's friends are too busy with their girlfriends to notice his struggle. When Will and Mr. Clarke find an odd map that Bob left behind, they decide to investigate it with the help of Dustin, Lucas, Mike and Eleven. But they soon realize that the map leads to a hidden treasure that may be more than they bargained for. And did I mention there's a blizzard coming?
Holiday Specials is a collection of three short stories that celebrate different seasons: Winter, Halloween and Summer. In each story, we get to see how our favorite characters deal with festive occasions and supernatural threats. For example, in the Winter Special, Eleven gets introduced to classic Christmas stories by Hopper (I bet he reads A Christmas Carol in his grumpy voice). In the Halloween Special, Will tells his friends a scary story about Hawkins that may or may not be true (spoiler alert: it is). And in the Summer Special, officers Powell and Callahan investigate some strange events that may put their lives in danger (or at least their sanity).
Stranger Things Library Edition Volume 3 is a must-have for fans of the show who want to explore more of its mysteries and lore. It features stunning artwork by Kyle Lambert on the cover and talented artists like Diego Galindo, Todor Hristov and ABEL inside.
