SVEN’S MOVIE SCHEDULE
AUG 5 Shadow of the Cat Shadow of the Cat is a movie about a cat who witnesses the murder of its owner by her greedy relatives. The cat then plots revenge on the killers, using its stealth and cunning to avoid being caught. The movie is a mix of horror, comedy and mystery, with some twists and turns along the way. The cat is the hero of the story, and the humans are the villains.
AUG 12 The Black Scorpion The Black Scorpion is a 1957 horror flick about giant scorpions that terrorize Mexico after a volcano erupts. The movie follows an American geologist and his Mexican buddy as they try to stop the creatures with the help of a female scientist and a kid. There’s a lot of cheesy special effects, corny dialogue and scorpion fights. It’s a fun watch if you like old-school monster movies.
AUG 19 Konga Konga is a movie about a giant gorilla that goes on a rampage in London. It’s a cheesy sci-fi flick from the 60s that tries to copy King Kong, but with worse effects and acting. The plot is pretty simple: a mad scientist injects a baby gorilla with a serum that makes it grow huge and obey his commands. He uses Konga to kill his enemies and rivals, but things go wrong when Konga escapes and becomes uncontrollable. The movie ends with Konga climbing the Big Ben and getting shot by the army.
AUG 26 War of the Colossal Beast War of the Colossal Beast is a movie about a giant dude who survived a fall from the Hoover Dam and is now terrorizing Mexico. His sister tries to help him, but he’s too angry and crazy. He escapes from the army and heads to Los Angeles, where he causes a lot of damage. He gets electrocuted by some power lines and dies. The end.
