Snap Packages and Manjaro

As is so often the case with a new project ( Linux or Windows ), things can be a little bumpy. The idea of Snap is that it enables a single binary package to work  on almost any Linux desktop. I certainly see a lot of potential for a program like this.

However, as I said, things are still a little bumpy. If you are the kind of person who wants to try the latest thing, you might want to try Snap packages. You can find them in the AUR.

At this point, I feel like I can wait for a while and let the dust settle. While this may be an excellent evolution in Linux, it doesn't have enough packages to make the installation worth your time and the removal of a Snap package can be a bear.

Having said all of that, this looks like a great step forward for those of us who enjoy Linux. Here is a video with Spatry and Snap Packages.
