✨ Bettie’s Late‑Night Broadcast: Captain Kronos Edition ✨
“Well now… wasn’t that a treat?”
Bettie steps out from the kitchen doorway, sundress swaying, apron still dusted with flour. The last sword stroke of Captain Kronos fades from the TV, and she gives the room that sly little grin — the one that says she’s been watching right along with you.
“Captain Kronos… mmh. A man who knows how to walk into a cursed village like he owns the sunrise. I like his style. Confident without bragging, dramatic without trying, and he keeps that cloak swirling just enough to make the shadows nervous.”
She lifts a tray — not cookies this time, but a row of ruby‑dark glasses.
“Alright, y’all. Movie’s over, but the night isn’t. I made a batch of Kronos’s Anti‑Vampire Tonic. Don’t worry — it won’t slay anything except your thirst.”
She hands out the glasses one by one:
Dark cherry juice
A splash of cola
A twist of lemon
And if you’re brave… a cinnamon stick swirling like a stake in holy water
“It looks like blood,” she says with a wink, “but tastes like Hammer Horror — dramatic, sweet, and just a little dangerous.”
She raises her own glass.
“To Svengoolie, to Kronos, to the night, and to anyone bold enough to wander into a story with their eyes open.”
And with that, Bettie takes a sip — and the bayou hums its approval.
