The script tells of a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.
Universal Studios is working on a reinvention of the Dracula legend with a movie titled Dracula" (August 2014). Somehow, I would have thought that Hollywood would be a little more creative with it's movie titles. Just as Frankenstein is getting plenty of remakes in the next couple of years, Dracula will also rise from the dead not only at Universal but also on NBC.
NBC's version of Dracula (October 25th) will star Jonathan Rhys Meyers in a 19th century retelling of the story. If you love the classic movie monsters, expect to see plenty of them (or the same ones over and over) in the next couple of years.
