October is my favorite month and it seems to be slipping away far faster than I would like. On the upside, with the pleasant weather, I am leaving the doors and windows open and, on the downside, I've had an increase in household bugs. Peppy has also tracked in a record amount of leaves --- how does he do it?
Peppy is not his usual self and I am hopping that it is nothing more than Wednesday's pizza. We have had several Vet visits this year, with his ear infection, and I hate to take him to the Vet again. Those visits really stress him out --- and they don't do much for me either.
This week I received a summons from Sister to repair some Kitchen pluming. After removing her garbage disposal, I told her that I needed some parts. Wisely, she called a plummer. If you knew my DIY skills, you'd understand. In between dozens of political "robocalls", I managed to paint the floor and walls of the back-porch and replace the template to this blog.
It may take some time to move into this new blog theme, but Rome wasn't built in a day. I just couldn't stand seeing the old theme jacked-up. It looked like crap when the host for the javascript and some of the pictures failed.
Gaming...
I am still playing Star Wars The Old Republic. Currently, I am playing a Sith Inquisitor named Abif; and I am enjoying the bounty-hunting weekend. When not bounty-hunting, I am at level 29 and I'm doing the Alderaan missions.
Books...
I tried to upload a review of the book The Weiser Book of Horror and the Occult but my Youtube video crashed twice. I'm not sure what's wrong and I'd hate to be unable to upload book reviews. I'll give it another try tonight.
I've read The Fun of Staying in Touch by Roberta Grimes. Hopefully, I can get my video issues straightened out to do a video review of this book. If not, I guess I'll post a written review on Gnostalgia (link) and Attention Earthlings.
Movies...
I really haven't watched any movies. Having said that, I plan to watch "Wolfman" tonight on Svengoolie.
Sports....
Nope. I just don't seem as interested in Football, or any sports for that matter, since Dad passed away.
Things to come...
I am really looking forward to Julie Ferguson's new book Arizona’s Back Roads: A Travel Guide to Ghosts, Outlaws, and Miners (link). Hopefully, I'll get this book before Halloween.
If the Author and publishers allow it, I will post an excerpt of this book.
Bummer of the week...
Come on Doritos, you can do better than this! No chip was larger than a quarter!
