Barry's weekly wrap-up, June 18th
A thunderstorm rattled it's way through the night in my little corner of Florida but I managed to sleep through most of it. I've had an odd series of mornings this week from waking to find that I have no power to waking to the booms of thunderstorms. Still, that sort of thing comes hand-in-hand with living in Florida. On the other hand, I've decided to avoid the news of some of the events from my home state.
The news has been heartbreaking with both the mass-shooting and the loss of the child to an alligator. At a certain point, I just couldn't take it anymore and I've decided to avoid the TV.
Computer related ...
As some of you may know, I have had a great deal of trouble with my mouse. It really isn't a big deal when you are doing your normal web activities but when you are gaming a goofy mouse can drive you insane. Well, it seems that my mouse may be working fine with a simple fix. I slammed it on the floor during a profanity-laced conniption. I don't recommend my quick fix method but it seems to have worked.
The OS on both of my computers is running just fine. At some point, I believe that I may need to go to a lightweight OS for my older computer but so far Manjaro is working sweet as a nut.
I have added a video at the bottom of the page. I think that this might be a good spot for my YouTube videos. I'm also leaning toward the robot as my avatar for the blog. I guess I'll have to give him a name? Maybe Dale the Doll --- no that's taken. Well, I am sure that I will come up with something.
If you are wondering what I will be doing tonight, The Leech Woman on Svengoolie and finishing Jonathan Dee's Tarot Mysteries.
