link) is some software that will reduce the blue light emitted from your computer monitor. The theory is that the blue light is not good for those of us who do not sleep well. I thought that it couldn't hurt so I gave it a try.
It was an easy program to set up. F.lux adjusts the blue light throughout the day, gradually reducing the blue light from your monitor. If there was anything more that I was supposed to do like stand on one leg while facing East or waving a dead chicken over my head at midnight, I missed those instructions.
After a few months, I decided to delete f.lux, it just wasn't doing anything for me. I toss it into the same category as copper bracelets and mood rings. Maybe it has some sort of placebo effect but it feels more like another example of junk science.
As for me, I've found that hiding my clock under a book works. Go figure...
